I feel for ya.
The detox process takes years. There is plenty you can do in the meantime. Here are a couple of links to help.
FYI: I believe in serious cases (which would be earmarked by depression) detox should be slow and gentle. Taking supplements that stimulate organ detox can be rough.

Actually, I'd recommend searching this forum for some key words like "detox" or "supplements". You will come up with a lot of helpful information.
I also highly recommend the following book. It is the best and most complete I've ever found on the subject:
Amalgam Illness This book contains nearly all you (and perhaps your doctor) need to know to create and intelligent detox plan.

A couple quick tips...
- Avoid big sulphur (eggs, MSM, etc.) This can mobilize too much mercury and cause a relapse of symptoms
- Take lots of vitamin C (2K to 5K mgs daily is common) and make sure you have a good source and brand. I recommend Citrus Bioflavonois by Nature's Sunshine Products (that's what I take)
- Increase protein (especially if an "O" bood type) Cystine will gently remove mercury and help the immune system, etc.
- Remove sugar and caffiene
- Remove seafood
- Steam rooms and saunas are a great way to detox
- Take a thyroid supplement (I use Thyroid Support by Nature's Sunshine Products) This may help with depression as mercury interferes with T4 to T3 conversion and ATP production.
- Take a selenium supplement with vitamin "E" (again, NSP) This may help with depression by helping stabilize blood sugar (selenium). The "E" provides oxidant protection from the mercury.
