Some people with mercury toxicity are sensitive to garlic and other sulfur-rich foods like onions, eggs, etc. You appear to be sensitive, so it might be best to avoid these foods for now.

Algin is the primary supplement we recommend for mercury toxicity. It doesn't mobilize mercury like DMSA or Alpha Lipoic Acid...it simply absorbs mercury from the colon, in order to prevent the mercury from being reabsorbed and redistributed. Mercury is primarily eliminated through the colon, so it's important to keep your bowels moving. Algin will help this also since it's a non-digestible fiber source.

Exercising may be too much right now, especially if you're particularly mercury toxic. Try to listen to your body...if you're feeling sick then you may not want to do things (or take things) that are going to aggravate your condition. When you're feeling stronger/better, you can slowly start adding things that will help eliminate mercury.

Vitamin C and E are also extremely beneficial and necessary for mercury toxicity. While there are some people who are sensitive to citrus, most people don't have a problem. We use Vitamin C with Citrus Bioflavonoids (3,000 to 8,000 mgs daily) and Vitamin E Complete with Selenium (400 to 800 IU daily). If you know you're sensitive to citrus, then try Rose Hips. It's very important to get a lot of antioxidants, which is why we recommend lots of vitamin C and E.

The dizziness could definitely be the result of high blood/tissue levels of mercury. Algin may really help your symptoms because it can reduce your body burden of mercury.

P.S. I definitely recommend Dr. Cutler's book Amalgam Illness: Diagnosis & Treatment. I think you'll find it extremely helpful and very enlightening, especially given your profession.
