Dentists and dental assistants get a higher amount of mercury in their bodies than the avergae person because of working with it every day, so this would not be good for someone sensitive (or anyone, really).
Some diet tips that might help:
1. Ensure you get at least the minimum recommended protein a day (40g for a woman, not sure what it is for a man).
2. Drink water instead of tea/coffee/sodas as caffeine isn't good.
3. Cut out milk
4. Watch how you respond to high-sulpher foods
5. Make sure you get minimum B12 a day.
6. Magnesium might help (but I believe oxide is not the best). I'm still looking for a replacement.
7. Some people have a problem with citrus, so you might want to experiment with that i.e. I realised after a few months that the citrus bioflavinoids in the vit c supplement weren't working for me so I'm going to try an alternative.
8. Some people feel better cutting out gluten.
Keep us posted on how you get on. I'm doing it alone aswell. It isn't easy. I don't really know if what I'm doing is good/bad so I'm trying to play it safe as much as possible.
