I haven't done any formal chelation yet because I'm still getting my amalgams and dental restoration done. I've learned alot on the chelation issue from reading "Amalgam Illness," by Andrew Cutler, this was recommended to you previously, I think.
Russ and Laura sell this book at a discount. It might be worth the money for you to order a copy and read it. It's got lots of information on the biochemical reactions and symptoms that mercury toxicity causes and what can be done to alleviate it.
I just wanted to say that you might want to go slowly with any remedies that you try until you find an experienced practitioner to help you. Mercury poisoning can make us pretty sick. And sometimes the very efforts we try to help our bodies chelate can be hard on our immune systems.
I know you're so eager to get well and get rid of this -- and you will get it fixed! But, meanwhile don't be afraid to be gentle to yourself. Your body is dealing with alot right now. Even something like exercise might be too draining to your body's immune system. Its so busy trying to handle the mercury.
Even before I had my amalgams removed, I noticed a reduction in some of my symptoms by increasing my daily vitamin C dosage. You can take vitamin C to bowel tolerance -- and back off once your bowels become loose. The same can be said for magnesium supplementation. ANd Vitamin E with Selenium can also help your body deal with the mercury.
I wanted to share with you that I started using the Algin that they sell here even before I got my amalgams removed and I noticed a reduction in my symptoms -- and I was still actively being poisoned by my amalgams at the time. The Algin absorbs the mercury that is being dumped into the intestines like a charm, I think.
Another thing that is important is keeping your bowels moving regularly. The body excretes lots of mercury in feces.
I'm sure that Laura and Russ will have more information for you.
