The steam room will not be as effective, because the moisture you get is more condensation than sweat. Whereas sauna promote more deep sweating. Steam promotes condensation more than anything. Though I'd say any heat does encourage some mercury release from the skin regardless, but certainly saunas would be the way to go.

PS, be careful though because depending on how poisoned you are, it can be hard going, so I'd just be cautious about it and how long you spend doing it. It does detox mercury for sure, but I wouldn't stress yourself out trying to push yourself to handle more than you can. Just like people have to be careful when they use chelators, not to push themselves to do more than they are able, or you end up ill for a long time following it.

I use a sauna once a week, i like the idea of no side effects. I do feel good afterwards, my skin looks good too. The next day though i get loads of spots. Sometimes when i come out i feel slightly weird like im coming down with a cold, i feel sort of shivery even on a hot day.

Can you please tell me the difference between a regular sauna and a far infra red sauna? I have been in contact with a man who is detoxing and he says far infra red saunas have really helped him. I am wondering where you go to find one of these. Thanks!
