I can't stimulate enough bile to cure my copper poisoning!!!!! 96% of copper comes out in bile and whenever I stimulate bile my mercury symptoms become so strong that I have to stop.
I'm stuck! I've been in this rut for about 2 months. Several other people on these boards started their copper treatment about the same time I did and they have been healthy for a while.
Don't get me wrong, I've reduced the majority of my copper symptoms but it's still there, I still get nasty side effects from selenium and b-complex suppplements.
What should I do? Should I just bite the bullet and ignore the side effects from the selenium and go ahead and do about a month of chelation?
I'm thinking I might be able to handle an increase in bile production after I get rid of some of the mercury.
By the way, this is against Andy Cutlers advise. He says treat the copper poisoning first, then do the mercury treatment. How am I supposed to treat the copper if I'm incapable of increasing bile?

I don't see any reason why you cannot begin to chelate the mercury with DMSA or DMPS. If anything, i can't see them causing harm regarding the copper. They just grab hold of either lead or mercury.
It might even help you, as you find ways of stimulating your bile at the sametime. Certainly, you're probably stirring up something when you try and increase the bile and maybe the chelating agents will be able to grab hold of what metals are being stirred up and help to excrete them out.
I'm no expert, but sometimes you have to try things and see what suits you. You can't always go by the book in every case. Lessening some mercury at least might provide just enough relief to increase your bile more.
just some thoughts.

This might seem like an overly-simplistic remedy ... but I thought I'd mention it anyhow. Have you ever tried Castor Oil Packs to your abdomen? They're supposed to help boost the organs to do their jobs. It's easy to do, all you need is Castor oil, a hot water bottle or heating pad, and some cotton flannel cloth.
I'm sure you can Google on this subject to see if it might be helpful. I don't know that castor oil packs would necessarily aid with your copper problem, but I was wondering if they might help with the bile production?
Anyway, I thought I'd mention it. I had a naturopath prescribe them for me years ago and they helped with the problems I had at the time.

hammer, i did have similiar problems to you and still do, with usually only one good bowel movement a day on a good day. I think the problems are that our livers are very toxic and weak still, probably with a lot of stored mercury, and need some good healing. I really have benefitted from buying a juicer and juicing veges and fruit everyday. I noticed that my skin is a lot better and mercury symptoms and mental symptoms have been so much better since starting it. Please consider it, you won't regret it.
My copper symptoms are pretty much gone too, however if I do start to notice any symptoms returning i take zinc with each meal again.

Thanks for the advise on the juicer. My parents have one. What fruit do you use?
I just started chelation and I feel fine. I'm extremely dizzy and my skin is constantly flushing but that is to be expected.

Are you using milk thistle four times a day? this will help support your liver so it can do its' job. This might help with dumping the copper. Zinc, molybendum?I am guessing if you have Andy's book you are taking all the stuff to get copper down. And also, are the b complex vitamins yeast free. Usually people have a problem with them if they contain yeast, since they don't normally have copper in them. And those with mercury have yeast.
The other thing is that chelation will lower copper anyway. So yes, it is ideal to correct the copper but if you can't you may have to do what you can. I would get the liver going better first though as good liver function is needed for chelation too. Basically if you do decide to chelate skip the ala until the copper is down. Just do the dmsa. I would try the milk thistle for a bit and see what happens.

I have an EXTREMELY bad reaction to milk thisthle. I feel like I'm at the insanity level of mercury poisoning when I take even half a pill.
I can handle ultra low doses but even that feels unsafe. This is why I want to start chelation with DSMA. I can't produce enough bile to get healthy from the copper poisoning. Not producing enought bile is probably causing other health problems.
