I agree about sorting out your absorbtion issues and gut health in general, especially as your gut will be your main organ used to expel heavy metals. I had awful gut problem, and also had a gut that looked like I was mildly pregnant, even though I was quite skinny. At its worst, I had stomach cramps, diagnoised IBS, and could only eat raw food.

To combat the candida, I started off merely eating fresh egg yolk for protein (this can be dangerous so you really need to do a lot of research should you decided to do that) and various raw vegetables and fruit. Later on, when the candida had died down, I became able to eat cooked meat and various other foods in small quantities without suffering. Now, after 6 months, I'm able to a small amount of chocolate covered brazil nuts (a great souce of protein) and even sometimes ice-cream. But it all has to be fresh and preferably organic.

I still stay away from tap water and fish because of the chance of mercury contamination, and only intake small amounts of dairy. If I do drink milk it's goat's milk as that's alkaline and possibly healthier.

My gut is still slightly enlarged, and it does fluxuate, but it's nowhere near as bad as it used to be.

During this time I was taking chlorella and acidophilus. Apparently, candida really hates fiber, so algin may help in that reguard as well. I even tried some enemas with limited success.

It's really hard to quickly improve your gut health. The best recommendation I can give is get your amalgams replaced, stick to an anti-candida diet (meat and veg basically), and take anything that may help your gut regain its balance and grow back all the bacteria that's required for a healthy gut.

But take note, if the candida is hording mercury, as some people state, as it dies down, more mercury will be released into your system. So it's advisable to take it slowly, and take something to moap up the released mercury.

Now there's less mercury in my system, and my candida has died down, my gut seems able to fix itself.
