The Intellect Versus The Profane

There are 2 types of people in the world:

1. Those who choose to believe they are empowered by believing what they desire.
2. Those who choose to believe what evidence reveals.

#1 is a seductive delusion driven by false empowerment.
#2 is logic and reason.

#1 has been leveraged by the corrupt throughout history to gain power over others.
#2 is chosen by morally-upright persons desiring to help others.

Many are seduced into believing what they want rather than what evidence reveals. Vulnerability to seduction is the wedge that historically divides the profane from the moral; the selfish from the selfless.
