My son has this, but at this point, we don't know what is causing it. In the old days, many people had something called Pink disease and it was caused by mercury in many skin products - esp. products for babies. I wonder if this is Pink disease? The hot and cold hands symptom sounds like Raynaud's phenomenon, but I am not sure that redness and blotchiness of the face go with Raynaud's.
