Thanks Rus. Yes I definitely agree that you should ask lots of detailed questions to your dentist to ensure that you are both talking about the same ‘safe practices’. It is tough to go through the process of remembering all this when you are dealing with your symptoms in the first place, but hopefully others reading this post will learn from my experiences !
Lion of Judah,
How can I tell I have candida? Well I react to traditional candida foods (eg. yeast), I have white spots on my skin (soon people are going to start calling me a Dalmatian!) I’ve also had skin swabs to confirm it. It also occurs in the more tender areas of one’s body, if you are a female .. you’ll know what I mean.
The medications I have tried are super strong cremes (specialist prescribed), the candida diet, candida natural ‘good bug’ supplements (Acidophilous and Threelax) and several attempts at prescription high does of Nystatin.
Currently I am staying on the candida diet permanently as I now strongly react to anything with yeast etc.. in it anyway (this is only a recent occurrence). I also take Acidophilous. During my latest round of Nystatin I reacted badly with anxiety and my heart was pounding much worse than usual. I will try Nystatin again once I feel the mercury issues are a little more under control.
The bugs used to go away whilst I was using medication but it would come right back. I figure my body presents a happy breeding ground and until I sort out the root cause for my body allowing this to happen, I think it will just keep coming back. So I am focussing on my mercury, and also in my case arsenic, issues.
There are various posts on this forum about not treating candida too quickly whilst you are mercury toxic as the candida may actually help store the mercury away.
PS: I tried to go up to 25mgms of DMSA with bad results. I am dropping back down to 12.5mgms and hoping it helps.
