Hi Karen, I'm sorry to hear about your experience. I hope with detox and patience, you can recover. I think this would be a great lesson for others who are considering having their amalgams removed: Call the Dentist's office and ask specifically what safety precautions they take during the removal. You can find a list here as a guide: Safety Precautions for Amalgam Removal It is, perhaps, not necessary that every precaution listed be followed, but the more the better. For some, it's hard to get into the habit of realizing that medical professionals work for us. They are no different than contractors that are coming over to fix some drywall or put up a new deck: They work for you. Ask questions, negotiate, ask for what you want. If they don't want to give you what you want, find a contractor who will. This is a great lesson to learn for all of us. Even some ND's recommend dentists that they are not sure about, but they won't tell you that. Some of them may get kickbacks just as doctors do from prescriptions. I wish you the best of luck and to keep us posted with progress. I would make sure you're taking lots of Vitamin C with Bioflavonoids for the joint issues. Working out the muscles may help with the shaky muscles.
