---A significant part of Jesus’ ministry after His resurrection was to His closest friends. They were in great need of hope and encouragement. I tell you that because I want you to know that it is possible to be a Christ-follower with some experience, doing the best you know to live for the Lord, and still find yourself in some really dark places. I want you to know that you haven’t missed God.

The Psalmist said God is close to the brokenhearted, not angry with them, or punishing them, or judging them. If you are in one of those dark places, know that you matter to the Lord. Remember that He loves you and will deliver you in His time. Don’t bear this season alone. Spend time with other godly people and just listen to the joy they have for the Lord. It’s contagious, and it will refresh you like a steady rain on parched ground.

PRAYER
---"Heavenly Father, I lift up to You those in my life who need Your healing and whose hearts are hopeless and broken. I have seen You restore my hope and give purpose back to my life. Help me share what You have done for me with those who suffer. In Jesus’ name, amen. ~~"
