---It should not be too hard to distinguish good from evil, but culturally we are blurring the lines between them. If you watch baseball, pay attention to how the precise lines around the batter’s box change over the first innings.

Hitters step into the box and begin to move the dirt around with their feet. Soon it’s hard to see where the chalk lines are. We’re living in a season where people are blurring the lines; a lot of people are moving dirt around with their feet. As a culture, we somehow feel imposed upon just by seeing ten moral boundaries given official sanction, and we’ve stood by as the Ten Commandments are removed from public places. A prayer for good sportsmanship and protection before a high school sporting event may cost someone a job. The only way for us to keep God’s perspective on right and wrong is through training ourselves by the constant use of His Word. It will not give a specific answer to every question, but the moral principles that run through it, from beginning to end, will give us guidance for how to live in this generation.

THINK ABOUT IT
What is your guide for determining right from wrong? Do you hold every decision up to the light of God’s Word?

PRAYER
Heavenly Father, help me recognize Your perspective in Your Word and obey it across the span of my life. Thank You for others who hold me accountable to Your boundaries. Use my life to make a difference in this generation. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Blessings,
Pastor Allen Jackson
