Why Governments CensorIf we are shielded from being offended, we are prevented from learning and maturing.Truth can be hard.
Truth can feel offensive.
If we feel offended by truth, we are immature.
If we allow ourselves to be exposed to truth, even if it feels offensive, we experience the opportunity to learn and mature.
If we are shielded from truth, we are shielded from the opportunity to learn and mature.
Governments pretend to help people by outlawing and discouraging content that feels offensive, even when it's truth.
In doing so, they promote ignorant and immature populations.
Governments prefer ignorant and immature populations because they are easy to deceive.
Easy-to-deceive populations enable government corruption which is extremely profitable to governments.
In short, ignorant and immature populations are extremely profitable to governments.
This is the reason governments promote policies that block content that offends some, even when it's truth.Return to The Founder's Post Forum
