---OUR RICHNESS IN CHRIST ~~
~~~WELLS OF SALVATION ~~
----"I will give unto him that is athirst of the foundation of the water of life freely." ---[Revelation 21:6]--
---Jesus was walking from Judea to Galilee and passed through Samaria on His way. He came to Jacob/s well near Sychar and stopped there to rest. When a woman of Samaria came to draw water, Jesus surprised her in two ways. He asked her for a drink, and He said that He could give her living water. What did He mean? Jesus wasn't talking about natural water like the water from Jacob's well. Natural water satisfies temporarily., but living water is something that keeps on satisfying. Jesus said, "Whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst, but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life." This is water from the well of salvation within us, which is described in Isaiah 12:3: "Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of wells of salvation." We don't have to go to a certain place to have our thirst satisfied! With Jesus in our heart we have satisfaction all the time. Jesus spoke of the same water on several other occasion. In John 6:35 He told the people, "I am the bread of life: he that cometh to me shall never hunger; and he that believeth on me shall never thirst." John 7:37-38 says, "In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture has said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water." Water from the wells of salvation should not only benefit ourselves but should also flow out in rivers of blessing to others. ~~ "Open the wells of grace and salvation, Pour the rich streams deep into my heart, O Lord! Help me Jesus to never be ashamed of You and Your Word. "Even So, Come Lord Jesus Come!" BSW-BG~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." [John 14:6]
