--GOD IS CALLING US TO SHARE OUR FAITH ~~
--"For jus as each of us has one body with many members, and these member do not all have the same function, so in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others."
--"For we know that all things work together for the good to those who love God."--[Romans 8:28] -----MY SIXTH- GRADE BIBLE class put on a play about the prophet Jonah. My friend Alexis was the director. A theater arts major in college, she brought all her gifts to the table: creativity,, humor, drama, and a fantastic set design. Every student was assigned a part; there were acting roles as well as props, sound, and lighting responsibilities. Weekly rehearsals began with an acting exercise. exercise. Even the tech crew and props team had to participate. Alexis created a sense of purpose and connectedness with the whole class..she said, "You have to be all-in. Unless you give one hundred percent, this play will not work." She was right. If someone missed a cue or forgot his lines, it held everyone else up. Working together, the kids told a funny poignant, and beautiful story of mercy and forgiveness. Jesus invites us to tell the same merciful story with our lives. We need to know our part and work together. When we go "off script," embracing our own selfish desires, it affects the whole body of Christ. When we are all in, we forgive those around us. We radiate peace. We lift one another up in moments of joy and share one another's burdens. We are a collective force of love that tells the story of Jesus's grace toward toward humanity. What a beautiful story that is! ~~ --Guideposts/SFA
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." [John 14:6]
