Constipation is very common in people with mercury toxicity, as is acid reflux and other digestive problems. Magnesium supplements (especially magnesium citrate and/or magnesium malate - both very absorbable) are really helpful for a lot of people, because mercury interferes with the body's ability to utilize magnesium which causes people to be magnesium deficient. Magnesium deficiency will also contribute to muscle cramps and spasms, muscle twitches, anxiety, fatigue, high blood pressure, migraines, seizures, insomnia, astha...all kinds of health problems.

Magnesium may also be helpful for acid reflux, as magnesium may help relax esophageal and stomach muscles that are tightened. Plus, magnesium is commonly found in many over-the-counter antacids.

Scarlet has given you some great suggestions. Her tea sounds really good! Here's some more info about Senna and how it works, along with a few other herbs that are often combined with senna to help reduce the cramping effect it can have on some people (it has strong laxative effects). <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

For digestive enzymes, I use Proactazyme Plus, which is entirely plant-based and contains enzymes for digesting proteins, carbs, fats and the fiber in most fruits and vegetables. It also contains a base of herbs that are known for improving digestion, intestinal function, and liver/gallbladder activity.
