~~~~INSECURITIES COME WITH BEING HUMAN--and not one of us is immune. So regardless of what our emotions may be, we should consider them worth exploring as responses to our experiences. However, that doesn't give us license to dwell on feelings that are sinful or negative.

Thankfully, the Bible provides us with truths we can hold on to when we feel uncertain. Maybe we can't rid ourselves of difficult emotions, but we can place scriptural truth beside those feelings. It's important to remember that regardless or our emotional state, God' Word is always reliable.

Consider the following strategies for dealing with negative emotions: [Please look up the verses in your Bible]

**"When I feel ashamed, I can choose to dwell on the fact that I have been forgiven of my trespasses and redeemed through Jesus' blood [Ephesians 1:7].

**""When my self-esteem is low, I will remind myself that I am awesomely and wonderfully made [Ps. 139:14].

**"When I feel lost, I will remember that I Have been chosen by God and given a purpose [Colossians 3:12, Romans 8:28].

**"When I feel unlovable, I can rest in the knowledge that God calls me beloved [Thess. 1:4].

**"When my circumstances feel impossible, I choose to recall that all things are possible with God [Mark 10:27].

**"When I feel helpless, I will remember that the Lord is my strength and my shield [Psalm 28:6-7].
