---In the rearview mirror of history, we can see that Paul was probably the most influential advocate for Christ the world will ever know. But to the Philippians, he was the man who shared the Gospel with them and continued to mentor them, even from prison. Paul’s focus never changed throughout his ministry: He was focused on the future and pressing on in order to finish well. What are we focused on? We can fold our arms and be spectators, or we can accept God’s assignments and get in the game. I want to use my abilities, my talents, my energy, and my resources to “press on” for the Kingdom of God. If you’ve been sitting on the sidelines, observing and critiquing, I invite you to suit up and get in the game.

THINK ABOUT IT
--Each one of us has assignments from the Lord, both general to the gospel and specific personally. How we perceive and respond to those assignments makes all the difference in the world for the Kingdom of God.

PRAYER
--"Heavenly Father, forgive me for when daily life blurs my vision of You and Your assignments. My greatest mission is to put You first in my life and bring You honor. Help me to maintain a sharp focus on You and Your Kingdom, and never on the sidelines of Your priorities. In Jesus’ name, amen. "
