Does anyone else experience choking and vomiting? Since starting chelation therapy I often start choking and sometimes vomiting for no apparent reason. Could this be a symptom of detoxification?

What kind of chelation are you doing? If you are using DMSA it could be a result of the DMSA because it binds to your magnesium and zinc as well and hg toxic people already are deficient in these two minerals. I know that if I get low in magnesium that I will get strangled on water or food.
It is recommended to only do DMSA for a few days and then to rebuild your stores of nutrients for a couple of weeks. I personally was afraid of the stuff.

Just a few months before my removal, I would nearly vomit after every meal. Although I never reached the point of actually vomiting, I came very close and that's remarkable for me considering it takes a lot to make me do that.

In my case this started after I began chelation therapy. I'm thinking that this is caused by high levels of mercury in my bloodstream. I've completed (with great difficulty) 20 IV DMPS infusions and I'm not going to do any chelation this month. If my theory is right the choking and vomiting should subside soon. So far, so bad. I haven't choked or vomited yet today but I feel a sickness that words cannot describe. I feel like I am dying from cancer. Is recovery really possible? I can't help but contemplate suicide at this point. Aaron, I'm interested to hear what happens.

Hi Aaron, I hope you hang in there and do not take your own life. I would stop doing any further DMPS IV chelation. I do not hear good things about it and have heard they can make a mercury toxic person EXTREMELY ill. Reason being, they can move far too much mercury in one go and overload your system to the point where you will feel even more poisoned than before. I'm not saying everybody gets this, because I know some have had good results, but others have been medically DEVASTATED by it and have had to get onto a different protocol. I hopeyou will consider checking out a forum I belong to for mercury toxic people who have been using a very safe chelation protocol. Many of these people have been made worse by other methods (including the DMPS IV) and are now using this other method. It is helping many. I hopeyou'll consider checking it out. It is called http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/frequent-dose-chelation/This may help you and start to improve your symptoms. If you go on there and look at the links and files section and read up on how people do this protocol etc, you might find it makes a LOT of sense why it's much safer. I am sure what you are getting is not uncommon and you might want to post what has happened to you and the symptoms you're getting.

You don't have to describe the feeling, I know what you are talking about. I think it is the result of having many more toxins in circulation than your body can handle. I felt like I would surely die a couple of times also.
If I were you, I would not do any more chelation until you feel much better. You need to take something that will bind to the hg, but NOT mobilize any more hg. Algin (sodium Alginate) is good for this. You also should take magnesium. You need this for way too many things for me to list now, but believe me you will feel soooo much better and your mental state will be inproved as well.
Drink lots of water (10-12 8oz. glasses) to help flush out the toxins.
It will get better. Learn as much as you can so you won't do too much too fast. I was doing that at first and slower/safer is the better way. I feel MUCH better now.

Taking the DMPS was risky but because of my age (42) and the severity of my illness I thought that I needed to get as much mercury out of me as soon as possible. I won't take any more DMPS except for challenge tests in the future. Next month I'll start chelating again with the Cutler protocol or maybe with chlorella or some other natural chelator. Aaron, please know you are not alone. I don't want to commit suicide but I want to die every day. Sometimes I pray to God to please just take me in my sleep. I am a wife and a mother and I know it is very selfish but sometimes I am just in so much pain I think I cannot take it anymore.
I just wanted you to know that someone else knows how you feel. I have not had my amalgams out yet but I am in the process of getting started. I am trying to think only positive things about it but I am very scared. I keep thinking "what it I get worse?"
I would try a different method than the DMPS if I were you. As for me, I won't go near it and if a doctor wants to use it on me I will run like heck away from that person. I have Cutler's book and it sounds promising but then I have heard from others it is a little harsh. However, if you have been doing 20 dmps iv's it can't be any more harsh than that!
I sincerely hope that you are feeling much better soon.

Aaron,
There is a solution. Keep trying and keep monitoring your symptoms and look for patterns. I know a long time ago I suggested that you keep a journal to help you find patterns. I'm telling you, it really will amaze you what patterns you will find on paper that you don't in your head.
If you aren't already, you really may want to give it a try.
There is light at the end of this tunnel! Keep trying and remember, feelings of suicide (which I lived with daily for all of my teen and adult life) is an effect of mercury. The day after my removal, the depression and suicidal throughts were gone. When you get to the root of your exposure, yours should be gone as well and it's well worth the wait, no matter how difficult the wait is.
I am ordering a mercury vapor test for my house because I live close to a coal-burning power plant and have found that I've been having mercury symptoms recur in the past few months, for the first time since my removal.
Is it possible that you may be getting additional exposure from some external source?
In case anyone is interested, here are my notes directly from my "to do" list:
INFO: Mercury Vapor Test Plastic carbon filter and sponge inside. Clip above floor for 72 hours. $79. Gary Clinger 317-243-0811 directly 317-390-3192 Call this to order test. Ramona Bennett.
I have a phone call in and have found that is takes about 3 business days for these people to get back to me. I'll post the results on this forum.

What kind of things should I note in the journal? I remember you recommending that but it is very hard to do things because I'm so tired. Yesterday I forced myself to get some fruits and vegetables and use my juicer. Even doing something like that exhausts me. Two and a half weeks after my last DMPS infusion I'm still dragging. I hope that it was worth it. Regarding exposure to mercury I still think that the biggest source for me was from thimerosal in allergy shots that I took for about 15 years. As far as airborne exposure goes my doctor told me that Ohio is a bad state to live in because there are many coal fired power plants in this state and mercury is released by burning coal. Aaron,

I would journal diet, supplements, weather, chemtrail activity (if possible) and how you feel both physically and emotionally.
As far as coal-burning power plants...
Yes, I happen to live a couple miles from one and have begun to feel the effects. I am considering moving if tests show mercury is present in this area. I will be posting results on this forum.

Aaron,
I just noticed that you mentioned cutler so I assume that you have his book. On page 76 at the bottom, he talks about adverse reactions such as suicidal depression, to DMPS. (he mentions on page 15 that it is because of the amount of mercury being moved to the liver. ) He says to ensure tha you keep taking nutritional supplements. Also, he mentions vitamin C IVs.
