--God's Calling Us to....
--Be Imitators of God ~~ --"Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God as a fragrant aroma." --[Ephesians 5:1-2]
--"The High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses. ... So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most." ---(Hebrews 4:15-16 / NLT) --MY father couldn't join our family vacation abroad because of his fear of flying. He was close to tears when my mother, siblings, and nephews were about to leave for the airport, and remained speechless, unable to wish them a safe and happy trip. His physical condition also made it difficult for him to travel. Though our family wanted to take him on the trip, we thought it best he not go, so I stayed home and took care of my father while our family traveled. A few hours after their departure, my father urged me to check and see if my brother had posted pictures of their trip on social media. When I showed my dad the photos, he smiled and commented about my mother, who was wearing a thermal jacket. "Your mother is cold," he said, obviously concerned. But I also sensed loneliness in his voice. Taking care of my father reminded me that Jesus understands our loneliness and weaknesses. He is with us. When we feel lonely and weak, we can come to Jesus and receive from Him the help that we need. We can also appreciate the people He sends to be with us. As for me, I am thankful that I was able to be with my father in his time of need. I rely on Jesus and allow His grace to fill me, so I can be a caring daughter to my father and others in need. Let's remember to reach out to those hurting, in need of prayer, or just to know they are being thought of. We are to be His hands and feet. ~ --Guideposts/MLM~
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." [John 14:6]
