Hii Everyone. Seems like I am posting a new question everyday.
Okay, I know Russ had a bad taste in his mouth before mercury removal. Anybody else have a horrible, evil taste that will not go away no matter what? I do have an abcessed root canal and I wonder if it is all that nasty bacteria in my mouth. My tongue feels all numb and it even kinda hurts.
I am hoping having this root canal out will help the problem.
Thanks everybody!! spiderbaby

Spiderbaby! I had the bad taste thing before my mercury extraction for about 3 months. It went away after extraction along with the vitamine C I was taking. Next I got an infected root canal but didn't get the bad taste, just occasional sore spots on my tongue. It went away with extraction of the dead tooth. Finally now I have a temporary filling that is causing me problems -bad taste again - swollen tongue, sore spots on tongue, sore throat and wheezing. Hopefully going to get this junk removed as soon as possible and some nice friendly composite put in instead. So I reckon your problem will go with your tooth... good luck! I hate all this dental trauma as well.
I'm a Vitamin C evangelist!

Hi Bigpip!! Thanks for the reply. Sounds like you know how yucky this is! All I can think of is my body is screaming at me "Get this tooth out!" The strange thing is, I don't really have the bad taste when I wake up in the morning. It kinda comes on throughout the day and by bedtime it is just horrible.
I am sorry you are still having trouble. I hope that you can get it all taken care of and soon. Did you have IV Vitamin C when you had your amalgams out? Just curious.
