--"The Comforter...will...bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." --(John 14:26 / KJV)
--Loneliness strikes almost everyone at one point or another. We can be popular and still miserably lonesome--feeling as if no one truly loves or understands us. The danger during such times is that we'll seek comfort in things or people that God never meant for us to be around--or that we'll turn so far inward that we sink deeper into despair.
But understand that God has given us His Holy Spirit to answer that profound need in our innermost parts. The Spirit is the Lord's permanent presence in our lives -- our guarantee of His intimate friendship and ever-present help. No matter what our trials, the Helper is available to strengthen, encourage and enable us.
You are never left without hope. So if you're feeling alone today, realize that He understands the pain you feel over crushed dreams and the disappointments you are facing because of others' broken promises. But the Holy Spirit doesn't stop there-- He also heals your wounds and binds up your broken heart. So look to the friendship, help, and comfort of God's Holy Spirit. He is your best Friend--the One who will never leave you or forsake you. ~~
