---TRANQUIL STATE OF CALM / HE [JESUS], HIMSELF IS OUR PEACE~~
--"Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. Without warning, a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!” He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm." ---[Matthew 8:23-26/ NIV] --"For He Himself is our peace, who made both groups into one and broke down the barrier of the dividing wall, by abolishing in His flesh the enmity, which is the Law of commandments contained in ordinances, so that in Himself He might make the two into one new man, thus establishing peace, and reconcile them both in one body to God through the Cross, by it having put to death the enmity. We are saved by grace. We no longer live under the law. --[Ephesians 2:8,14,15,16] ~~God wants us to lead peaceful lives. Biblically, peace is not the absence of hardship and conflict, but tranquility and calmness from God in the midst of hardship and conflict. A wonderful example of that is Jesus with His disciples in a boat on the Sea of Galilee. A furious storm blew up, and the disciples thought they were going to drown. What was Jesus doing? Sleeping. They had to wake Him up to tell Him He was about to drown! The picture of Jesus asleep in the midst of the storm is a marvelous portrayal of God's peace. No matter what storms come, you can have that tranquil state of calm knowing that God is watching over you. THINK ABOUT ITWhen we walk in Jesus’ peace, we become lighthouses to those around us living in this chaotic age. His peace not only blesses you; it can make you a beacon for others looking for safe harbor. PRAYER [--"Heavenly Father, You are the keeper of my being, watching over my comings and goings. Let Your peace guard my heart and mind, and be evidence to others of Your power to save and give hope. Thank You, Lord, that You are our Prince of Peace. [Isaiah 9:6] You are my anchor, shelter, and shield. In Jesus’ name, amen."Blessings, Pastor Allen Jackson
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." [John 14:6]
