--GOVERNMENT IS GOD'S IDEA ~~

-"Every person is to be in subjection to the governing authorities. For there
is no authority except from God, and those which exist are established by God."
--(Romans 13:1) --

--As Christians, we are to try to delay the premature collapse of our country and our world so that we have longer to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ. How do we push back against evil in this world? One way we do it in our country is through the government officials that we elect. Some people say that Christians shouldn't be involved in politics. But God is the one that designed government. Government is God's idea.

Did you know the Bible says there are three institutions that God created? In Genesis 2, God created the family. In Genesis 9, God created the government. And in Acts 2, God created the church.
The government is just as ordained by God as the church is. Both were created by God for unique purposes. Government has not been called to share the Gospel, but government has been called to be a restrainer of evil. God designed government to keep order and morality in society. Paul described God's purpose for government in Romans 13:3-4: "Rulers are not a cause of fear for good behavior, but for evil. Do you want to have no fear of authority? Do what is good and you will have praise from the same; for it is a minister of God to you for good. But if you do what is evil, be afraid; for it does not bear the sword for nothing; for it is a minister of God, an avenger who brings wrath on the one who practices evil."
