~~In America, when we elect government officials, we are determining the moral and spiritual direction of our country. We have the privilege of choosing our leaders. Every time we go into the voting booth, we determine the direction of our nation.

Just think about this: In the Old Testament and even in the New Testament, people didn't get to vote for the king. People didn't get to vote for the emperor of Rome. That was just given to them. But John Jay, the first Chief Justice of our United States Supreme Court, said this: "Providence has given to our people the choice of their rulers: and it is the duty --as well as the privilege and interest --of our Christian nation to select and prefer Christians for their rulers." Isn't that interesting, the First Chief Justice of the Supreme Court said this is a Christian nation? He said God has given us in this Christian nation the privilege of choosing our leaders. That means every time we go into the voting booth, we are casting a vote for righteousness or we are casting a vote for unrighteousness. When we participate in the voting process, we are the ones who are determining the moral and spiritual direction of this nation. ~~
