---I attended Oral Roberts University when Dr. Oral Roberts was still there. He was famous for his one-liners, like: “Expect a miracle” and “Something good is going to happen to you.” One of his favorites to remind students was, “God is a good God, and the Devil is a bad devil.”
~~It’s one thing to hear a famous preacher say that and nod our heads. It’s another thing to wrestle with that and decide if we believe it. Do you believe there is evil in the world, and that you are capable of being influenced by it? Do you believe there is a merciful God who has made a way to deliver you from that evil? If you do believe those things, how do your beliefs change your life? These decisions cannot be made by anyone but you. It doesn’t matter what your friends, your parents, your spouse, your favorite author, or your preacher believes—the decisions are yours.
THINK ABOUT IT What do you believe about God? How does that effect your life?
