--DON'T LET THE WORLD SCARE YOU!

--[TBC NOTES/ The Berean Call] ~

--If you think the title of this has to do with the current pandemic uncertainties and inaccuracies, it does so only coincidentally.
No, this is far more important. A major problem of many believers who are continually engrossed in the news reports from the various media is the mesmerizing effect it has on their minds. At the very least, such activity clouds and can even bury what they have been taught from God's Word.

The Apostle Peter writes, "Yea, I think it meet, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting you in remembrance; knowing that shortly I must put off this my tabernacle, even as our Lord Jesus Christ hath showed me. Moreover I will endeavour that ye may be able after my decease to have these things always in remembrance" and "This second epistle, beloved, I now write unto you; in both which I stir up your pure minds by way of remembrance: That ye may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us the apostles of the Lord and Saviour..." (2 Peter 1:13-15; 2 Peter 3:1-2). bible

We need to be continually reminded of God's words. Unlike what the world puts forth, they are absolutely true and eternal. Again Peter reminds us, "But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you" (2 Peter 1:25).

Remember, the Gospel, and all it includes is good news. Make sure you are filling your "pure minds" with God's love and truth. That's the antidote for fear. ~~

"There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear because fear involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love. We love, because He first loved us" --[1 JOHN 4:18-19].
