--GOD MADE US~~

--"Know ye that the Lord he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves;
we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture." --[Psalm 100:3] --

~~WE say that we were born of our parents, but God worked behind the scenes to make us what He wanted us to be. Today's Bible reading tells us that God covered us in our mother's womb and that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. We had no say in how God made us. Would we be male or female? What kind of home would we be born into? We have much to be thankful for if we were born to parents who loved and cared for us, and especially if they taught us about God and His salvation.

We should praise God for giving us sound minds to think rationally and make wise decisions. We should also thank God if we haved learned to read, but then we should use that ability to read the Bible and other literature that benefits us morally and spiritually.

We should thank God for making us in His own image. Humans did not evolve from animals as some people, who want to get away from their accountability to God, like to profess. Genesis 1:27 says, "So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him: male and female created he them." God made us with a "living soul" (Genesis 2:7) that will live forever in one of two places. We need to choose Heaven as our destiny and trust in God to help us get there.

We should thank God that eternal life is available to everyone. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16). Even if we were not born in a Christian home, we can choose eternal life and belong to the family of God.
