---KNOWING HIS VOICE ~~

--"However, as it is written: “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love him”—but God has revealed it to us by his Spirit. The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God."
--(1 Corinthians 2:9-10/ NIV)

---It runs counter to conventional wisdom, but I’ve observed that some of the people who are the most highly theologically educated are the people who are the most spiritually empty.
I earned a theology degree sitting in classrooms where some of them stood at the podiums and others sat in the seats beside me. They are knowledgeable about Hebrew and Greek terms. They can discuss the various theological interpretations of Scripture. But if you are going to benefit from knowledge of the deep things of God, it doesn’t begin primarily with an education and letters after your name. It begins with a relationship with the Spirit of God. I’m an advocate for education, and I encourage people to get as much as they can. But I’m a greater advocate for recognizing the voice of the Spirit, cooperating with Him, and being determined to say yes to Him in an unrelenting way.

THINK ABOUT IT
Recognizing the voice of the Holy Spirit begins with placing high value on His voice. Giving priority to hearing what God desires to communicate though His Spirit brings great benefit to you, both in time and for eternity.

PRAYER
--"Heavenly Father, I want to recognize the Holy Spirit’s voice. Instruct me in Your Word so that I can know You and hear You more accurately. Thank You for Your promise that Your people will hear, know, and obey Your voice (John 10). In Jesus’ name, amen.~"

--[Friend, truly nobody has ever, or will ever, love you like Jesus Christ. He died for YOU. As you read the Bible, please take it as a personal love letter from Jesus Christ, for that is what it is. "All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work" -[2 Timothy 3:16].
