Hey everyone, I have been experiencing a severe body rash over the past month. It is worst on my neck and hands but it has hit almost all other areas of my body. It feels like a "histamine" attack or whatever--like an allergy, but I 've never had allergies before. I have been doing some ionic cleanse detox foot baths and am wondering if it has pulled too much mercury too fast. Anybody had anything like this--rashes? The itching is fierce and it is disturbing my sleep. Any suggestions?

I come out in rashes on my body after having a bath or shower, but it goes after a couple of hours. I don't know if it's because the water is too hot or the mercury, but I've had it for many years.

The rash you most likely experiencing is mercury. Sometimes something you've done can release a lot of mercury into the areas where it is able to be excreted and it can come out onto the skin. When a person baths/showers, or exercises, it will usually increase further because heat makes mercury rise. And it can take sometime to die down.
Taking things like vitamin C, selenium etc, can make this even more intense because if the mercury is in the areas where it's coming out onto the skin, this usually means it's readily available and won't take much to come out and cause a lot of rashes, sometimes covering the entire body, usually mostly around neck and chest, but has been known to come out even on ears, scalp, hands, the entire thing!
It is a good sign, though very annoying. It takes a load off the liver and other organs when it comes out this way.

Bex, Yes it is very annoying--to the point of interferring with my life. Any idea how long it might last? This has been going on for about a month. Do you know anything I can use to help with the itch? Chelan

I wish I could give you some advice to help the rash ease or subside. Mine only came out upon heating up (bathing or exercising). It seems yours comes out regardless and keeps you in a state of distress at night.
I don't know how long it will last. Because some mercury can be in different areas and alot can be in the brain. Yours is obviously in the body areas and I went through the rash thing for approximately... 2 years or so. Not good I know, but yours maybe different from mine and maybe more intense and you could find it might not last as long.
I used to find mine embarrassing, because after a bath or exercising, I would look almost deformed from the rashes and they ended up coming out in welts and they would itch and sometimes I would feel heat/burning from it all.
I never knew what to do, I had to suffer it, but I was very lucky that they died down after an hour or more.
I am certain yours is mercury. think about this. If it's causing this much havoc on your skin, what on earth does it do on the inside of us? They say it's better out than in, but in your case I am sure you would say "NO WAY".
If I knew what could be used on the skin to ease the result of the mercury coming out, I'd tell you. Can you let me know more about it? LIke does it worsen when you heat up? Or take baths or showers? Or exercise? And does it worsen if you use any form of mercury detox?
It does show it's coming out, but that's probably small comfort to you at this time.

Bex, Thanks for the reply. Yes I almost would rather it stay "in" --but not really. I just want to find a way to "live" while this clears out. Last night I couldn't sleep at all and finally at 2 a.m. I got up and took a bath with Epsom salts in it. I stayed in the tub for 3 hours and then I went back to bed and actually fell asleep. I think the Epsom salts helped for a while anyway. I'm going to try it again. I have noticed that it does seem to get worse when my skin is warm --which is a problem in bed since you're generally warm in bed. Anyway, thanks for your note and if you think of anything let me know. I really can't imagine having to deal with this for too long. It's been over a month already. I am getting an infrared sauna in the next few weeks and I'm hoping that will ease my "itch". Chelan
