---RESOLVED TO BE LIGHT ~~ --“Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.” ---(Matthew 5:16 / NASB) --
--Darkness is a part of our world, both physically and spiritually. The dictionary defines it as partial or total absence of light. In other words, darkness only exists when there is no light—and that’s just as true in the spiritual world as in the physical world.Darkness doesn’t have the power to overcome the light, and the tiniest beam can be seen from a great distance. The only way for darkness to become more intense is for the light to be dimmed. It is natural to be angry at the darkness in our world, but let’s channel that energy into shining more brightly for the Lord. In our families and neighborhoods, on the ball teams where our children are involved, in the schools they attend, in our groups of friends, around our hobbies and interests, and in our places of business—we are called to shine our light in such a way that we glorify God. I know that can be a challenge, but the rewards are great, so let’s turn up the light! THINK ABOUT ITYour acts of service, attitudes, conversations, conduct, and responses to challenges are just a few areas where your light can shine and bring glory to God. The Lord stands ready to help as you resolve to shine for Him.PRAYER--"Heavenly Father, I believe that You are at work in me. I want to reflect Your glory to those around me in all my behaviors. Turn my desire to glorify You into effective actions for Your Kingdom. Let the light of Christ shine through me. In Jesus’ name, amen." Blessings, Pastor Allen Jackson-[ Friends, Somewhere along the line a terrible veering away from the strait and narrow gate to get to Jesus has been taken. We must stay close to Him. Especially in these end-times. We read in 2 Corinthians 5:17 = "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature (creation); the old things passed away; behold, new things have come. If there is not a change in a person after receiving Jesus as Lord and Savior, that person has been misled. Please get right with the Lord. He could come at any time and many are not ready. // The question comes up often, 'Is it possible to experience the new birth, and later fall away and be lost.' / **Yes, please read (2 Peter 2:20-22/- NASB ). NOTE/ VS 21 *"For it would be better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than having known it, to turn away from the holy commandment, handed on to them." - ]
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." [John 14:6]
