---He means What He Says~~

--"He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name. Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit."

---I am more convinced than I have ever been that God means what He says in His Word. When the Bible says that God knows how many stars are in the sky, and has a name for every one of them, I believe it. When the Bible says that God knows how many hairs are on your head, I believe He has an accurate count after a few came out in your comb this morning. I don’t think Scripture is speaking about His knowledge in a poetic way; I believe God means what He says. I’m a bit concerned by our increasing willingness to depend on technology and reluctance to believe what God says. We allow unknown people to give us advice about which road to take and where to eat, but we question God’s knowledge of the stars. I’m not opposed to technology or science. In fact, I’m an advocate for both, but they cannot replace or exceed the knowledge of the God who created the heavens and the earth.
"The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms" [Deuteronomy 33:27].

THINK ABOUT IT
Are there areas where you trust man’s devices, but are skeptical of God’s Word? Ask God to help you trust Him as your all-knowing Creator. Then, watch Scripture come alive to you in new and more meaningful ways.

PRAYER
--"Heavenly Father, forgive me where I have doubted Your wisdom and knowledge. I choose to believe that Your thoughts and ways are infinitely higher than mine, and You mean just what You say. From now on, I will take You at Your word. Oh, my Lord and Redeemer, Jesus, thank You for loving me so much. Thank you that You forgive me even before I ask. Help me, Lord, to stay in the Bible, as my road map to the Celestial City. I love You. In Jesus’ name, amen."
