--Father God, My Trust Is In You ~~

from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness He

--This afternoon the house across the street from mine has golden windows. They're not always so. In the early morning, they're a soft, warm gray, and any time the rains come, the panes gather tiny drops and turn them into sparkling diamonds. But they're never more beautiful than now, when I've washed my supper dishes and stepped out onto my front porch. How blessed I am that God shares His heavenly beauty with me in this way, just before night comes and the windows disappear in darkness.

I've often seen my life reflected in those windows. How golden were the early years! But then came heavy clouds of trouble, bringing worry, illness, and my tears shone until the time of sadness passed, and the soft glow of a new day flooded me with warmth and made me know that the golden days would come again--in God's own time.~
