~~~PASTOR'S TRANS CHILD~~
~~Rev. Christopher Bruesehoff, an ELCA pastor, and his wife have publicized the status of their 11-year-old child, who was born a boy but has been living as a girl since age 9. This child has now received a second surgically implanted hormone blocker, which prevents puberty. Using powerful drugs for the off-label purpose of blocking puberty is experimental and leaves many questions about how this can affect children long term. The Bruesehoff's child, who goes by the name Rebekah, spoke at the ELCA Youth Gathering in 2018. ~
--HOMESCHOOLING SURGES~~
~~"Abiding Word Ministries" ~~
~~Thanks to increasing left-wing social engineering, bullying, and tragic school shootings, parents are increasingly opting to pull their children out of public schools in order to homeschool. The resurgence of homeschooling has quietly been increasing across the country. Brian Ray, who leads the National Home Education Research Institute, stated, "The top three reasons that parents choose homeschooling are a desire to provide religious instruction or different values than those offered in public schools; dissatisfaction with the academia curriculum, and worries about the school environment. That includes safety, pressure to get into drugs, pressure to get into sexual activity." Estimates from the National Home Education Research Institute are that homeschooling in grades K-12 has increased from 1.69 million students in 2017 to 2.5 million in 2019. This makes it the fastest growing form of education in the country. Home-educated students typically score 15 to 30 points above public-school students on standardized academic achievement tests. ~--Sources: nheri.org, newstarget.com
~~DENOMINATION TO SPLIT~~/  'The United Methodist Church' ~
~~The United Methodist Church is the third largest denomination in the U.S. with over 12 million members. A recent agreement has been reached by the Council of Bishops to split the church body in two, due to differing views on LGBT issues.
A statement from the council said, "The action comes amid heightened tensions in the church over conflicting views related to human sexuality after the 2019 Special Session of the General Conference failed to resolve differences among church members." A new denomination will be formed that will continue to embrace a biblical view of marriage and sexuality, and those congregations that remain will permit samesex marriage and LGTB clergy. The agreement is expected to be finalized in May 2020.
---WYCLIFFE - [BIBLE TRANSLATORS]
~~Wycliffe Associates has developed a system of Bible translation where more than 400 new language groups around the world are ready to begin the process of translating the Scriptures into their own mother-tongue. The system utilizes native language speakers to partner with local churches. "After generations of waiting, generations of hoping, and praying for a translation of the Scriptures into the language of their hearts, they've heard about this Bible translation opportunity," said Bruce Smith, President of Wycliffe Associates. The mother-tongue translators will partner with Wycliffe Associates translators who will use computer tablets with translation software and a library of resources. They can even reach into countries where Bibles and Churches are illegal. ~~--Source: worthynews.com -["Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming" -[Matthew 24:42 /NASB]--
