~~~HIS IMAGE, HIS BREATH / NO EVOLUTION ~
-"Then God said, “Let Us make man in our image, in our likeness, and let them rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air, over the livestock, over all the earth, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”'
---(Genesis 1:26 / NASB) --
~~~~In the twenty-first century, we have to pause and think about the place of humanity in the world. There is a commonly held worldview that says human beings are simply the top of the evolutionary ladder and we don’t have any more intrinsic value than an orangutan, a salamander, or a spotted owl.

A biblical worldview says we are not only different from the rest of creation, we are the highest form of creation. God fashioned mankind in His image and breathed into Adam the breath of life. He chose to identify with humanity, and the redemptive work of Jesus Christ involved God putting on flesh and blood. We have been given dominion over creation and so have a responsibility to care for it, but make no mistake about the preeminent place of humanity in the world God created.

THINK ABOUT IT
--Being made in His image has granted each of us dignity and value. Every worldview that denies this truth will devolve into a system that values neither life nor freedom.

PRAYER
~~"Heavenly Father, I am made in Your image and purchased by Jesus’ blood. Help me exercise authority wisely in Your name to see Your Kingdom come and Your will done. Help me speak into my culture the eternal value of each human life. You created us, You live within us. Help us, Lord to understand this. We can only understand Your Word by the help and power of the Holy Spirit. Thank You, our Immanuel [God with us]. In Jesus’ name, amen."
Blessings,
