I just got all 11 amalgums out this week... and it seems my body is naturally detoxing with frequent urination (which was my original symptom) and soft black stools. I'm not concerned about the black stools because i know its mercury related, but wondering if this is natural detoxing, and what would be other sx's of natural detoxing?

Signs of detoxing, whether natural or not, would generally be the same. They are signs that mercury is mobilized. Generally, that blood-mercury is high.
Some of the signs might be reccurence of mercury symptoms, heavy sweating, rashes or red areas on your skin, over time the appearance of moles under the arms or on the neck, bad breath, indigestion, low energy, sweet cravings.

I think some signs of detoxing mercury can be crying, excessive salivation, skin rashes, depression, nervousness, anger, all signs of mercury moving and disrupting the very areas that it's already residing in, usually making things worse.
Metal taste, metal smell on the body after sweating. Increased urination, or changes in bowel habits like getting diarrhea etc. Headaches, all sorts of things can occur during mercury detox.
extreme moments of tiredness and inability to hardly even move. etc.

Urinating frequently is a sign of detoxification? I thought i read somewher that it was not normal and a sign of an abnormality with the pituatory gland.

frequent urination can be a sign of many different things, but i'm specifically talking about natural detoxification. i am not experiencing any of these sx's. if anything, i am a little clearer in my mind. i actual feel pretty healthy other than a cold i'm experiencing right now, maybe a little tired because my job can be stressful. do you think the black stools is because mercury is coming out through the stool? i did a blood test and was borderline high for mercury and arsenic before i had the amalgums out, so i know that i'm high in mercury.

I think that it is a sign of detoxification. I've had that problem for years but it got worse when I started chelation therapy. Urinating frequently is a sign of detoxification? I thought i read somewher that it was not normal and a sign of an abnormality with the pituatory gland.

Strength said... Urinating frequently is a sign of detoxification? Yes. This is one of the more well-known symptoms and is discussed in Cutler's Book.

When my fillings were in, I would get up and go 3 to 5 times each night. It kind of came on gradually so I didn't really notice it until a few months before the removal, when I still didn't know about mercury. I remember having the thought...
"Gee... it would be nice if I didn't have to get out of bed so often during the night. Perhaps I would sleep better."

I had frequent and copious urination from eating sugar. I didn't know what was causing it and it became worse and worse until I had horrible kidney pain along with the copious urination. After many useless dr. visits, I finally mentioned it to my chiropractor and he said "Are you sure you don't have a yeast problem?" I thought he was nuts, because years ago I went off sugar for a year to put to death my monthly vaginal yeast infections, and I didn't get them any more. But, one day I got desperate and went cold turkey off the sugar and the pain and frequent, copious urination disappeared, only to return again if I ate sugar. Now, 6 months after amalgam removal, I can eat a small amount of sugar again with no problem, although I don't intend to push it and I don't intend to eat sugar, except on an occasional basis.

Hey there - good luck with the detox. I had an awful time with my amalgam fillings. I had 3 months of lethargy and lack of energy, I was drooling all the time, had a metal taste in my mouth, blurred vision and some wierd hair growth. My dentist (Brompton Medical Center in London) recommended powdered vitamin C during a consultation and it really worked for like magic! I was free of my symptoms in a matter of days - however it did make me urinate a *lot*.

About sugar...
While my amalgams were still in, sugar would make my joints crack, give my arthritis-like pain, interfere with sleep, make my muscles feel like they were filled with sludge, and cause severe depression after a couple days.
Now that my fillings are gone, sugar has none of these effects on me.
