~~~The town of Bethlehem, where Jesus was born, is about five miles from Jerusalem and is now controlled by the Palestinians, but thousands of Christians
still gather for a magnificent international Christmas celebration. The whole city comes to life with light and color as a large procession moves from
Shepherd's Field to Manger Square, ending at the Church of the Nativity. Some locals are also attracted to the celebration as well, giving it a unique
sense of unity. The Grotto inside the Church of the Nativity is said to be the exact spot where Jesus was born. ~~
