Tell Maine Dental Board To Stop Covering Up High-Toxicity of Mercury Based Fillings
Maine Residents: Even though the law says otherwise, the Maine dental board tells Maine dentists it's OK to conceal an important official fact sheet from patients - the fact sheet which tells the truth about amalgam's mercury. These fact sheets explain to consumers how amalgam is mainly mercury, the harmful health effects of mercury and major environmental consequences, and provides information on non-toxic alternatives that are available.
The Maine dental board meets this Friday (November 8) where the board must defend its failure to enforce the law. At present, the dental board is not enforcing the fact sheet law, so consumers do not get this much-needed information about choices in dental fillings. We need your help, before that hearing. Public officials who refuse to do their duty and enforce the law should resign.

"Maine law says the pro-mercury dentists must give patients and parents the official Maine fact sheet. But the dental board says it's OK to violate the fact sheet law. If dental board members choose not to enforce the law, they should resign - now."
Remember, the board meets this Friday so there is not much time to act.
