--PERMISSION TO BE DESPERATE ~~ / THE LORD HEARS EVERY PRAYER~~

---"During the days of Jesus’ life on earth, he offered up prayers and petitions with loud cries and tears to the one who could save him from death, and he was heard because of his reverent submission."
---(Hebrews 5:7 / NIV)

Some of us have grown up in homes and churches where the only prayers we heard sounded like they were written centuries ago—because they were! There is nothing wrong with written prayers and corporate prayers—we pray those regularly at our church. But Jesus is our model, and He did not always offer up neat and tidy prayers. He knew that eternity in Heaven or Hell was in the balance for the people around Him. He suffered constant persecution. Sometimes He was desperate, and that gives me permission to be desperate. Sometimes He cried for help, and that gives me permission to cry for help. Desperation is not a sign of weakness or failure, because Jesus was neither of those. Allowing God to see and hear our deepest feelings is an expression of trust and humility toward the One who has promised to hear us and help us, so don’t ever feel you cannot show Him your true emotions.

THINK ABOUT IT
~~~God’s Holy Spirit searches the deepest recesses of your life—your emotions neither surprise nor offend Him. He is eager for you to invite Him to come in with complete healing and comfort.
[Yes, Jesus said, "I and the Father are one." Jesus is God-Man. He never ceased being G-D and Human. He prayed to His Father often. We should do the same. Keep praying, in the Name above all other names, Jesus Yahweh. YHWH= Our covenant keeping G-D. ]
PRAYER
--"Heavenly Father, I bring it all before You: my thoughts, my desperate emotions, my hidden anxieties. I trust You with every open wound and scar. Hear the cry of my heart and deliver me from my fears, bringing Your healing and hope. Thank You, LORD G-D, for forgiving my sins. Help me to do what is pleasing in Your sight. Also to say the words that bring You glory. In Jesus’ name, amen."
