---WASHED, SANCTIFIED, JUSTIFIED~~

--"Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers nor male prostitutes, nor homosexual offenders, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor slanderers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of God."
---(1 Corinthians 6:9-11)--

--This is written to the church in Corinth, but it's as fresh as today's news. Paul reminds us even though life seems to be going well for the wicked, they're not going to have a happy ending. To keep pride from creeping in, his list of wicked behaviors puts being greedy along with adultery. But he gives Good News: "That's what you were, but you've been washed, sanctified, and justified."

Paul reminds us we have the power of Almighty God, the Creator of the Universe, to help us change. Remember that you too have been washed, and sanctified, and justified. Even when living inside His boundaries seems hard, ask Him to help you, and He will. We all were born into sin because of Adam and Eve's fall in the Garden of Eden. But God......Jesus reaches out to every person to come to Him, and He will show you the right way to live for Him and be set free from this worldly system. ~~

"Heavenly Father, thank You that because of Jesus' death on the Cross for me I have been washed, sanctified, and justified. Help me as I struggle against my weaknesses to live for You within Your boundaries for a righteous life. Help me to be the person on the inside that I want the world to see on the outside. I'm so grateful that You have promised the Holy Spirit to guide me during all my days on Earth. In the name of Jesus I pray and thank You, my Rock and Redeemer.~ amen~
