--"The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold." --(Psalm 18:2 / NIV) --
---When hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico, my husband and I were terrified. We felt helpless when faced with the fury of the hurricane assaulting our lovely Island. We spent those frightening moments deep in prayer, asking God to be our refuge during the storm.
I was exhausted and felt as if I didn't have the energy to carry on. While feeling intense anxiety, I remembered the Psalmist's words: "G-D is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble" (Psalm 46:1). I held fast to God's promise and was able to experience God's presence.
During that storm, I learned not to depend on my own strength but to trust in Jehovah G-D. I experienced unconditional love while God's presence sustained me during that dark, terrifying night, and I have continued to trust in God's divine protection. Even during powerful storms, may we all remember that the almighty LORD G-D Jehovah, is our refuge. ~~
--Thank You, LORD Jehovah God, that You will never leave us nor forsake us. You hold us in the palm of Your nail-pierced hands. In Jesus Name~ Amen + --UPPER ROOM/NRS
