---PRESENT TENSE TRUTH/ MY PAST IS NOT MY FUTURE!~~

--"Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God."
---(1 Corinthians 6:9-11/ NIV)--

--The churches of today are not that different from the congregation at Corinth: Sitting in my seat and yours are the sexually promiscuous, worshippers of other gods, greedy thieves, drunkards and drug addicts, and lying cheaters. That’s us! But that is what we were—we’ve been changed! We’ve been washed, sanctified, and justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Through the blood of Jesus we are new creations with new hearts, minds, dreams, and priorities. The Holy Spirit is our friend who leads us along new paths of righteousness, because we now desire to live in a way that honors our God. When you doubt your worthiness to approach the Lord in prayer or minister in His name, remember that who you were is not who you are. That is wonderful news!

THINK ABOUT IT
--When you become discouraged about your own ability to follow the Lord obediently and consistently, refocus you confidence on Him. You are His workmanship and He is still working—in you.

PRAYER
--"Heavenly Father, because of the Cross, my past is not my future. Help me walk in Your abundant grace, and let Your power be perfected in my weakness. I will resist every accusing lie with confidence in Your redemption and plan for me. 'Thank You, LORD, for your Word, "If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine: and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free" --(John 8:31-33).
