~~~HOW TO HAVE PEACE~~

~~Many people long for peace, and a few minutes of silence may soothe our minds. But the Bible teaches that real peace--peace with God--comes from His Son. The apostle Paul said, "Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ" (Romans 5:1). Without Christ, we are enemies of God because of our sin. Thankfully, accepting Jesus's sacrifice reconciles us to God and ends the hostility that existed between us (Colossians 1:19-21).

Having peace with God does not ensure problem-free living. Jesus told His followers, "In this world you will have trouble," but He also said, "In me you may have peace" (John 16:33). Because of Christ, the true peace of God can fill our hearts (Colossians 3:15). ~

--"Peace, I leave with you, my peace I give unto you; not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." ~(John 14:27)

--"Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." ~~ (Romans 5:1)

--"Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee; because he trusts in thee." ~~ (Isaiah 26:3)
