---I’ve found that there is a tremendous difference between holding a concept in general and embracing it personally. There are many Scripture verses that encourage me greatly when I say them about myself. I want to invite you to make these statements with me: “The Lord goes before me and will be with me; He will never leave me nor forsake me” (Deuteronomy 31:8). “God showed His great love for me by sending Christ to die for me while I was still a sinner” (Romans 5:8). “By grace I have been saved through faith. This was not my own doing; it was the gift of God” (Ephesians 2:8). “I am God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works” (Ephesians 2:10). “The Spirit Himself bears witness with my spirit that I am a child of God” (Romans 8:16). “God has poured out His love into my heart by the Holy Spirit, whom He has given me” (Romans 5:5). God’s Word is a great gift to you and me, a message for all of us—and each of us.

THINK ABOUT IT
**Being able to appropriate the power and authority of God’s Word for your own life is part of the riches of your inheritance as a Christ follower. To fully experience the abundant life He has for you, pray His Word.

PRAYER
--"Heavenly Father, Your Word is my life-source. Direct me daily to Your Word that I might internalize it and be prepared for what I will need. Teach me how to hide it in my heart and apply it effectively in order to be my best for You. In Jesus’ name, amen."
