-----CLING TO GOD~~

--"Serve only the LORD your God and fear him alone. Obey his commands, listen to his voice, and cling to him."
--(Deuteronomy 13:4 / NLT) ~~

--We have been given an authority in Christ, but it is a positional authority. It is not related to our family pedigree or our education or how much we have achieved—it is related to our proximity and loyalty to Jesus of Nazareth. Much is made of a person’s accomplishments, and there is nothing wrong with working hard to become educated and successful in a career. But those things are put to their best use when we are willing to humble ourselves before the Lord, fear Him, serve Him, listen to Him, obey Him, and even cling to Him.

-- God wants to do something through you and me, and He has given us the authority to do great things for Him. But we will be most effective in every area of life when we determine to walk closely alongside Him and put His plans and desires ahead of our own. For those who are fathers let's try to be an example of the Lord, so our children will see Jesus in us. (1 Timothy 4:12) ~

**THINK ABOUT IT**
--The word “cling” has recently been given a derogatory connotation. But that all depends on to what you are clinging. It basically means “to stick to something as if glued” or “to refuse to be separated from.” Are you "clinging" to God?

PRAYER
--"Heavenly Father, I desire to cling to You and faithfully obey Your commands. I renounce any divided loyalties in my heart that would separate me from You and tempt me to serve another master. Unite my heart in devotion to You. In Jesus’ name, amen."
