--We all do it. Yet we are commanded by Jehovah G-D NOT TO WORRY. The Israelites had the same situation. Yet they wanted to Compromise. As a result they were in Rebellion.

----UNCOMPROMISING VISION / REBELLION

“We want a king over us. Then we will be like all the other nations, with a king to lead us and to go out before us and fight our battles.”
--(1 Samuel 8:19-20 / NIV) -- bible

---Peer pressure is causing God’s people to second-guess His plan and say, “We want to be like everybody else!” “Syncretism” is the fancy word for what’s happening, and it means to compromise the integrity of one faith by combining it with another faith. The Israelites said, “We don’t want to reject God. We just want to bring in some ungodly things too.” That’s really at the heart of compromise for God’s people. We don’t want to be limited or exclusionary. We don’t want to be too different. We just want to fit in. We want the blessings of God, but we want to be able to blend in among the ungodly. The desire to compromise and accommodate the world is a very powerful motivation in our lives, but it does not come from the Spirit of God. If you find hints of rebellion bubbling up in you, do not give them room to grow. Determine to seek the Lord only, and find your contentment in Him.

**THINK ABOUT IT**
Fear of people’s reactions is the strong undercurrent of “wanting to blend in.” This fear is idolatry and will always oppose the lordship of Jesus, even while claiming devotion to His saving grace. Remember, our confession is: Jesus is Lord!

**PRAYER**
-"Heavenly Father, Jesus is Lord! Forgive me for fearing to offend the world through public obedience to Christ. Unite my heart to fear You and You alone. I will have no other gods before You. In Jesus’ name, amen."
