----DOORS OF POSSIBILITY~~PRAYER MATTERS TO JEHOVAH GOD!

Luke 6:12-13 (NIV®)
One of those days Jesus went out to a mountainside to pray, and spent the night praying to God. When morning came, he called his disciples to him and chose twelve of them. . . --

---This passage suggests to me that Jesus went to the mountain to pray, and one hour turned to two hours, then it just spilled over into an all-night prayer meeting with His Father. When He came back from that night in prayer, He selected the twelve men who would be His closest followers and helpers, the men who would continue His work after He was gone. This is the Son of God, who left Heaven to live among us as a man, yet even He did not make such an important decision without spending hours in prayer. Prayer matters. When we ignore God’s invitations to have these intimate conversations with Him and fail to pray, we leave closed the doors of God’s opportunities in our lives. When we take prayer seriously and practice it diligently, we open doors of possibility for God to work in our lives. I want to be a person of prayer.

**THINK ABOUT IT**
~~ Prayerlessness begets isolation and cuts you off from God. Today, choose to fill the “dead air” between you and the Lord with conversation and praise.

**PRAYER**
--"Heavenly Father, You have given me a unique voice. Deliver me from all doubt that my voice matters to You—that You eagerly wait for me to talk with You. Strengthen me to stand in Your presence, share my heart, and listen with hope. Thank You, Lord, that you always answer our prayers in the way you know is best. In Jesus’ name, amen."
