--HIS REWARD IS WITH HIM~~
--"He humbled himself and became obedient to death―even death on a cross! Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name. So that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth. And that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father." --(Philippians 2:8-10) -- --On the Cross, Jesus was our substitute, taking the punishment we deserved. But during His days on the earth, Jesus also modeled the pathway to victorious living. Our attention is often drawn to those demonstrations of His power when He would still a storm, or cast out a demon, or heal a broken body. But Jesus also laid down His will and His comfort to fully pursue the purposes of God. His submission brought God’s unique blessing, when God gave Him “the name that is above every name.” We must know the Cross in both of those ways. We enter the Kingdom of God by faith in the death of Jesus on our behalf. But we also accept His invitation to take up our cross and lay down our preferences in order to fully embrace God’s purposes. Just as certainly as God rewarded Jesus, I believe God will reward you and me. THINK ABOUT ITThe willingness to obey God, whatever that costs and wherever it leads, brings great reward. Ask the Holy Spirit for greater clarity about what He is asking of you. PRAYER--"Heavenly Father, I lay down my preferences in order to fully embrace Your purposes. Strengthen me in my resolve to obey You and persevere. Your eternal rewards far outweigh my troubles. I give You all praise honor and glory. In Jesus’ name, amen.Blessings, Pastor Allen Jackson
Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." [John 14:6]
