---AVAILABLE AND ALERT ~
--"He who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep." ---(Psalm 121:3-4 / NIV)-- ---Humans are hard-wired to need sleep. Newborns sleep many hours of the day, and if we are healthy that amount decreases as we grow older. Doctors say that adults need seven to nine hours of sleep each day, but many of us get by with less. One of the many astounding ways that God is different from us is that He never needs to sleep—never!—and that means He is watching us and available to us around the clock. In the morning when you open your eyes, He is with you. When you open your Bible to read His Word, He is there to illuminate it for you. As you deal with a difficult coworker, He is there to answer your pleas for patience and wisdom. When you bow to give thanks for your blessings, He is there to hear your gratitude. Remember that no matter the time of day, or the place, or the circumstances, God is with you, to hear you and help you. **THINK ABOUT IT What a reassuring comfort it is to know that the Creator of Heaven and Earth never tires in His watchful care over the lives of His people. At all times, and above all else, let your greatest confidence be in the Lord. **PRAYERHeavenly Father, thank You for teaching me in Your Word that You are an ever-present God, ready to hear my cry and protect, provide, guide, and sustain me—even when I am asleep. Help me maintain the realization that You are near. In Jesus’ name, amen. Blessings, -Pastor Allen Jackson ~[O Come To the Altar, the Father's arms are open wide. Jesus said, "I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." [John 14:6]
